What does SAP Certification include?
Imagine an installed Add-On changing Data in the DB Tables where all Employees’ sensitive Data is stored. To avoid such Issues, a certified Program must live in its own so-called “Namespace” in SAP, clearly separating all Code and Data from those of SAP and other SAP Add-Ons. This Program Code is then checked for Compliance with the Rules defined by SAP to avoid potential Conflicts with Applications already running. Using highly specialized Scanning Tools, the Code is examined for less obvious Issues (e.g., Security or Performance).
